The Dool Trail, that is. It's a relatively short trail that connects the Skyline to the Sea trail with the Middle Ridge fire road, and it's a relatively gentle climb for a hike starting from Big Basin park headquarters, to begin a hike that might take you to Ocean View Summit or beyond.
You're looking for a camo taped tupperware-style container, very close to the trail. Look for a big redwood with two thinner siblings on either side, to find the spot. It's about half a mile from park headquarters.
Parking is $8 with a reservation or $10 without. If you don't have a reservation on a busy weekend you might need to park at the overflow lot at Saddle Mountain (near Little Basin) and take the shuttle bus.
