This park doesn't show up on all maps, but its official name is the Paterson Plank Park. My children refer to it affectionately as the "Pirate Ship Park". In addition to two playgrounds, there are some baby swings, a gazebo, and a really nice splash pad. This park is gated and open generally from 9AM to 9PM daily. Hours may vary. In the winter (with fewer leaves on the trees) there is a view of the Meadowlands and you can watch trains leaving NYC. Throughout the year you can hear them.
