A Pre-Paddle Event on Lake Samish
Gather at the Lake Samish public boat ramp on Saturday, August 23rd
10 - 10:30 am for an event with a nice view of the lake. Let's talk about what fun geocaching adventures you have been on this summer.
Boat ramp is on East Lake Samish Drive. A Discover Pass is required for parking.
After the event, those who wish can launch their watercraft (kayak, canoe, paddleboard, etc.) and do some caching. Several new caches will be published at the end of the event.
IMPORTANT! Whatcom County lakes require an AIS inspection and permit. The annual permit for non-motorized watercraft is $10. (Permits are not required for paddleboards.) This fee is waived if you pass the AIS Awareness test (it's 7 easy questions and takes 5 minutes) and bring your certificate with personal discount code.
