Mountain Bike Trail, but walking is no problem.
Intended for the whole family. Nice Walk on a Mountain Bike Trail. From the trailhead (N 30 28.508, W 086 35.993) about 0.45 miles as the crow flies, 0.55 miles walking if you're not a crow. Last sixty feet is off the trail, but not much underbrush so you can wear shorts. Cache is a light blue Tupperware container--pretty standard "treasures". My GPS indicated 20 ft accuracy when I took the coordinates. Enjoy! Dec 23, 2005 Update: Added new log book to cache Feb 7, 2010 Update: Visited Cache -- Still in great shape! NOTE: You need a permit to gain legal access to the Eglin AFB reservation, though I have never had to show mine on this trail. Get your permit and map for $5 (daily) or $20 (annually) from the Eglin Recreation website at https://eglin.isportsman.net/. You'll have to watch a short video and pass a simple quiz before you can purchase the permit. Jan 21, 2021 Update: New container (after 18 years!) Clear tupperware-type container. Plenty of goodies so take some!
