Venus
I mange århundreder var astronomer også astrologer. Ved at iagttage planeternes gang og indbyrdes aspekter, observerede man gennem lange tidsperioder, hvad der skete, når planeterne stod i særlige vinkler til hinanden.
Astronomisk:
Venus har en diameter på omkring 12.100 km og er kun lidt mindre end Jorden, Venus ligger mere tæt mod solen og derfor kan den kun observeres om morgenen og aftenen, ikke om natten. Den lyser altid klart og kan let skelnes fra stjernerne. Planeten er dækket af skyer af svovlsyre, der svæver 50-70 km over dens overflade, som vi derfor ikke kan se. Under skyerne består atmosfæren af kuldioxid. Det atmosfæriske tryk er 90 gange større end på Jorden.
Spredt rundt på Venus overflade findes store kratere op til 300 km i diameter skabt af meteor nedslag. Det er kun store meteorer der kan trænge gennem atmosfæren, da de mindre brænder op. Derudover er der talrige kratere, som er skabt ved vulkansk aktivitet.

Venus tillægges særlige egenskaber og kræfter og står for det feminine, kærlighed og harmoni, det smukke og behagelige, det materielle, penge, kunst, fornøjelser, teater og museum. Metallet kobber. Venus behersker Tyren og Vægtens tegn.

Venus
For many centuries, astronomers were also astrologers. By observing the movements of the planets and their mutual aspects, they observed over long periods of time what happened when the planets were at particular angles to each other.
