Welcome to a curious little spot near Þingvallavatn — where visitors from around the world have stacked dozens of tiny stone cairns, for reasons no one fully understands. Is it spiritual? Is it artistic? Is it just really windy and they got bored? No one knows. But here we are. And now... there’s a cache. 😄
🫧 What you’re looking for:
A recycled soap bubble container — cleaned, dried, and repurposed as a proud little log-keeper. Tucked among the moss and mystery, waiting for your signature.
🧭 Hint:
It’s hidden near the field of cairns, but not inside or under any built piles. Please do not disturb existing stones. The cache is tucked into a soft, mossy hollow in the earth. Like nature left a little pocket just for geocachers..
🙏 Important:
Building rock cairns in nature can confuse hikers, disturb local ecosystems, and sometimes just make the elves very grumpy. So please: take only memories, leave only your log. 🧝♂️
