The container was a large cat litter bucket with about 4" of water inside. I removed the 12 year old cache and vowed to place a new cache here one day.
Today was the day. The following is some of the text from the old cache that was here.....
"It is rated 4 because the last 170ft from the trail is a steep climb. I suggest good hiking shoes and a walking stick although I placed it in my sandals & no stick."
I wouldn't suggest sandals. And it is steep and mossy. Just getting off the trail might be the most challenging part of the adventure.
I am going to rate this just a little bit higher than the old cache that was here. This one will be a little bit harder to locate since it is a little bit smaller than the old cache. Although I will provide some spoiler pics in case my coords aren't as good as I think they are.
There are some goodies inside including an unactivated trackable intended to be the FTF prize.
