The Hanwell Fire Station is located in the growing Municipality of Hanwell. This station was built in 2018 after the community shifted fire protection responsibilities from Fredericton in 2015, when Hanwell opted to join the Upper Kingsclear Fire Department. The station is officially "Upper Kingsclear Fire Station 2" and a team of about 50 volunteer firefighters across three stations keeps the community safe. With each call answered, there’s a sense of rural pride and readiness: modern fire engines, rescue trucks, and a volunteer spirit that’s fired up faster than their pumper can spray.
