The hotel was built in the early 70s by a predominant family in the oilfield service industry, over the years the hotel was owned by other very unique owners.
The plantation inn was then bought and added to a chain with 5 other properties from varies parishes in Louisiana. In the early 90's all properties were sold individually, The Plantation inn was then bought by a woman that owned several other hotel in the south along with a macadamia and pineapple farm in Hawaii. Although the name hasn't changed it is currently independently owned and have been operated by local people in our community for the last 30 years.
