About the tank
M3A1 Stuart / Light Tank M3 is an American tank used during World War II. It was used for the first time in the Service of the British Army against German Africa Corps in 1941. years, just two years after the initial plans for the tank's production were created. Later, it was also used in the service of the American army and the Soviet army - the Red Army. Since 1942, new, improved versions of the tank marked M5 began to be produced and exported.

However, the use of the M3 tank in combat proved to be poor. Its equipment was not satisfactory and could not match the German 'Panzer' tanks. In the later years of the war, it was mainly used as support for infantry or as a vehicle for reconnaissance.

Military Museum - Exterior Collection
After World War II, a larger number of artillery pieces and armored vehicles arrived at the Museum, among which are some extremely rare specimens. Visitors are particularly attracted by the larger number of armored personnel carriers, light tanks, and tanks from various countries.
Among these vehicles, the Polish tank TK-3 stands out, of which a total of 18 units were produced, and the only preserved specimen is currently displayed outdoors. The same case is with the German light tank PzKpfw and Ausf F VK 1801, of which only 30 were produced, and the Yugoslav tank A1, of which only 5 pieces were produced in 1950 at the Petar Drapšin factory.
