Back to nature, in the city.
Chelsworth Park in Ivanhoe (Victoria) is an 11-hectare riverside reserve nestled beside the Yarra River corridor. It features open sporting fields, a shared walking and cycling trail, native river red gums, and mixed flora and scrub. The land was originally part of a dairy farm from 1846 and was converted into public parkland by the Heidelberg Council during the 1930s.
It's perfect for exercise, relaxing picnics, dog walks, or a play on the playground. Whether you're keen on nature, fitness, or community spots, it’s a well-rounded slice of suburban Melbourne greenery.
Parking: Park off The Boulevard or Irvine Road; weekends can be busy with sports events.
