Welcome to Lower Paxton Township Parks! This cache is part of our first ever Parks Tour. For 2025, we'll be hiding twelve caches in several of our wonderful parks. Using the attached passport, record the code word found in each cache, then turn in for a prize while supplies last.
And welcome to Oak Park Trails. This new 7-acre wooded hiking/walking park features a heavily wooded loop with minimal elevation gain. From parking walk east just a few steps to "Newsome Way" to the hide.
GEOCACHING 101
Since part of this Parks Tour will be to educate non-geocachers about geocaching, each hide will attempt to showcase a usual geocaching hide style. Ammo Cans were once used by the military to store ammunition in a dry, sealed fashion. This makes these perfect containers for geocaches, and this is one of the most famous containers used for the entire 25 years geocaching has existed. The key to their longevity is to COVER THEM WELL when rehiding!
