Geocache Description:

***HIGH CLEARANCE 4WD required*** This cache is on a 4WD track, it requires a 4WD with high clearance and a driver with intermediate 4WD experience. It is a one way track, once you start you are committed and it gets increasingly difficult as you progress. I highly recommended that you complete this in a group for safety.

Phew.... Congratulations, you made it to the top of the first hairy climb. Time to stretch your legs, let your muscles relax and get some blood circulating again.

Darke's range hosts a spectacular 4WD track that will lead you straight past this cache. Alternatively you are looking at a long hike.

The Darke range is made up of felsic volcanic rocks, quartzite, pelite and carbonate rocks deposited at c. 1865 Ma.

This 4WD track is unofficially one-way and is entered from Dog Fence Rd. You have to drive through the paddock up to Federation hill & you can lift the bollard out of position to continue along the 4WD track. Please leave all gates & bollards as you found them.
