Das Frankfurter Husaren-Denkmal wurde am 14. Juni 1925 anlässlich des ersten Regimentsappells nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg in Erinnerung an die im Ersten Weltkrieg Gefallenen aus dem königlich preußischen Husaren-Regiment „König Humbert von Italien“ (1. Kurhessisches) Nr. 13 auf einem bis 1995 unbenannten, im Volksmund jedoch Königsplätzchen genannten Platz im Stadtteil Bockenheim feierlich enthüllt. Dieser Platz heißt heute Tilly-Edinger-Platz.
Das Husarendenkmal musste im Jahr 2003 anlässlich der Umgestaltung des Platzes dem Adorno-Denkmal weichen, das zum 100. Geburtstag von Theodor W. Adorno neu geschaffen wurde. Das historische Husarendenkmal steht daher heute innerhalb der nahe gelegenen parkähnlichen Senckenberganlage im Westend. (Wikiwand.com)

The Frankfurt Hussars Monument was ceremonially unveiled on June 14, 1925 on the occasion of the first regimental roll call after the First World War in memory of those who fell in the First World War from the Royal Prussian Hussar Regiment “King Humbert of Italy” (1st Kurhessian) No. 13 on a square in the Bockenheim district that was unnamed until 1995 but was popularly known as Königsplätzchen. This square is now called Tilly-Edinger-Platz.
When the square was redesigned in 2003, the Hussar Monument had to make way for the Adorno Monument, which was newly created to mark the 100th birthday of Theodor W. Adorno. As a result, the historic Hussar Monument now stands within the nearby park-like Senckenberganlage in Westend. (Wikiwand.com)
