Meet between 1:30-2pm at the posted coordinates. At 2, those who wish can go for a bike ride along the Chehalis-Western Trail
The 66th in a series of events along the many mostly flat, mostly paved biking/walking trails in the Seattle area. Per geocaching.com event guidelines, the actual 'event' is the meet-up from 1:30-2 at the posted coordinates, which are next to a parking area for the Chehalis-Western Trail.
This event is outdoors, but I will only cancel this event if the weather is terrible: heavy rain, lightning/thunder, snow or ice. Bring a waterproof layer if it might rain, and enough layers/gloves/etc to ward off the cold.
Information for the ride:
We will be riding south toward the Yelm-Tenino Trail and Rainier. It's around 8 miles to Rainier, which is more than the 5 miles I usually aim for, so we'll likely turn around before then. Please show up well before 2 so we can leave on time. Check your brakes and air beforehand if you will be biking.
I've held an event on this trail before, but not on this stretch.
Participants in the optional bicycle ride hold harmless the cache owner/event organizer and assume all risks and responsibilties involved in riding a bicycle on trails and streets. Wear a helmet, dress in layers, and bring a spare tube.
