The Princeton Cemetery is a unique burial ground. The cemetery is the final resting place for a President and a Vice President of the United States, Grover Cleveland; and vice president, Aaron Burr Jr. Also most of the Presidents of the College of New Jersey/Princeton University and the Princeton Theological Seminary.
Key Revolutionary War Aspects at the Princeton Cemetery:
Signer of the Declaration: John Witherspoon (1723-1794), who was also the 6th president of the College of New Jersey, is buried here.
Military Figures: The cemetery holds the graves of numerous soldiers from the Revolutionary War.
Revolutionary Figures: Aaron Burr Jr., a Vice President of the United States who served in the Revolutionary War, is buried there, along with his father, Aaron Burr Sr.
