SK Jeseniova je atletický klub založený roku 1960 Milanem Gálou. Nejprve působil při TJ Stadion Žižkov a o pár let později se přesunul k ZŠ Jeseniova, kde působí dodnes. Sedmdesátá léta přinesla první velké úpravy – výstavbu šaten, sauny, osvětlení a prodloužení dráhy na 270 metrů.
Od devadesátých let klub postupně rozšiřoval zázemí a začal se prosazovat i v soutěžích. V roce 1997 bylo založeno družstvo mužů, které hned vyhrálo pražský přebor a postoupilo do II. ligy. O rok později dostalo hřiště tartanový povrch a vzniklo i ženské družstvo. Od roku 1999 patří obě družstva k pravidelným účastníkům druhé ligy.
Klub se dlouhodobě zaměřuje na rozvoj dětí i dospělých. Nabízí „malou atletiku“ pro děti od pěti let, kde se sportuje hravou formou, a „velkou atletiku“, která klade důraz na techniku, sílu a vytrvalost. Součástí přípravy je i gymnastika, posilování a všestranný pohybový rozvoj.
SK Jeseniova vychovala řadu reprezentantů a medailistů z mistrovství republiky. Na světovém juniorském šampionátu v Cali uspěl Šimon Weiser v běhu na 110 m překážek a Barbora Křížová byla členkou české štafety 4×100 m. Velký úspěch zaznamenalo také družstvo juniorů, které vyhrálo Mistrovství Čech i Mistrovství republiky.
Dnes je SK Jeseniova jedním z nejvýznamnějších atletických klubů v Praze. Stále se věnuje práci s mládeží, pořádá tréninky a závody, nabízí sportovní vyžití i rekreačním sportovcům a pravidelně reprezentuje na domácích i mezinárodních soutěžích. Díky propojení se ZŠ Jeseniova zůstává jedním z mála klubů v Česku, který má vlastní sportovní třídy a dokáže systematicky vést děti od prvních atletických kroků až k vrcholovým výkonům.

Schránka se nachází as 215 cm vysoko, ale já, měřící cca 170 cm na ni bez námahy dosáhnu. Pro odlov není nutné vstupovat na pozemky SK Jeseniova ani do vozovky. Keška se nenachází na žádném plotu.

SK Jeseniova is an athletics club founded in 1960 by Milan Gála. It first operated within TJ Stadion Žižkov and a few years later moved to ZŠ Jeseniova, where it still resides today. The 1970s brought the first major improvements – the construction of changing rooms, a sauna, lighting, and the extension of the track to 270 meters.
Since the 1990s, the club has been gradually improving its facilities and becoming more competitive. In 1997, a men’s team was founded, which immediately won the Prague Championship and advanced to the 2nd national league. A year later, the track received a tartan surface and a women’s team was established. Since 1999, both teams have been regular participants in the 2nd league.
The club has long focused on developing both children and adults. It offers “small athletics” for children from the age of five, where training takes place in a playful way, and “big athletics,” which emphasizes technique, strength, and endurance. Training also includes gymnastics, strength work, and general physical development.
SK Jeseniova has produced many national representatives and medalists from Czech Championships. At the World Junior Championships in Cali, Šimon Weiser reached the semifinals in the 110 m hurdles, and Barbora Křížová was part of the Czech 4×100 m relay team. The junior team also achieved great success, winning both the Championship of Bohemia and the Czech Championship.
Today, SK Jeseniova is one of the most important athletics clubs in Prague. It continues to focus on working with young athletes, organizes training sessions and competitions, provides opportunities for recreational athletes, and regularly represents the Czech Republic in both national and international competitions. Thanks to its close connection with ZŠ Jeseniova, it is one of the few clubs in the country with its own sports classes, guiding children from their first athletic steps to top-level performance.
