Ansamblul Tabăra de sculptură Măgura ocupă locul al doilea, după Vulcanii Noroioși între cele mai căutate atracții turistice buzoiene. Ca pretext, Tabăra Măgura a reprezentat omagierea celor 16 secole scurse de la prima atestare documentară a Buzăului, dar și a străvechii tradiții locale a cioplitului în piatră.Vreme de 16 ani, câte 16 sculptori, dacă era posibil mereu alții, au venit să lucreze pe dealurile Măgurii, din vecinătatea Mănăstirii Ciolanu.Ei au fost invitați să realizeze câte-o operă de artă gândită la fața locului, în funcție de mărimea și forma pietrei care le era repartizată.Teoretic, în poienele de la Măgura ar trebui să existe astăzi 256 de statui, multe dintre ele considerate de specialiști adevărate capodopere.

The Magura Sculpture Camp ranks second, after the Muddy Volcanoes, among the most sought-after tourist attractions in Buzau. As a pretext, the Magura Camp commemorated the 16 centuries that have passed since the first documentary mention of Buzau, as well as the ancient local tradition of stone carving. For 16 years, 16 sculptors, if possible always different, came to work on the hills of Magura, near the Ciolanu Monastery. They were invited to create a piece of art conceived on site, depending on the size and shape of the stone assigned to them. Theoretically, in the clearings of Magura, there should be 256 statues today, many of which are considered true masterpieces by specialists.
