Kotlina Kapnik je točka v zatrepu potoka Želin, sredi Udin boršta. Do nje pridemo, če gremo od umetnih jezerc Race, tudi Račnik poimenovanih, dober kilometer in pol po makadamski poti približno v smeri severozahod. V omenjeni kotlini je spominsko obeležje, ki spominja na čas NOB, ko je bilo v letih 1941 in 1942 na tem mestu zbirališče, bivališče in izhodišče za partizanske akcije v okolici Udin boršta.
Kapnik Basin is a location at the headwaters of the Želin stream, in the heart of the Udin boršt forest. It can be reached by following a gravel road for about a kilometer and a half in a northwesterly direction from the artificial ponds known as Race (also called Račnik). In this basin, there is a memorial commemorating the time of the National Liberation Struggle (NOB), when in the years 1941 and 1942 this site served as a gathering place, residence, and base for partisan operations in the Udin boršt area.
