Green Frog's Cache is located on a trail in Baird Forest, just outside of Middleville.
If you are coming from Perth, go north on County Road 511. Turn right onto County Road 8 at Herron Mills.
If you are coming from Almonte, go southwest along the Wolf Grove Road, until you reach Middleville. Turn left onto County Road 8. Then, just at the edge of town there is a stop sign. Stop, and then turn right.
Watch for a parking lot at N45, 03.756; W076, 23.588.
You can do the trail in either direction, but the shortest route to the cache will be to follow the part of the trail that runs parallel to County Road 8. There will soon be a little foot bridge; cross it and continue.
The cache was a bright green, frog-coloured, plastic container, but it has faded to grey (as of 26 September, 2023). It contains all green objects.
Take anything you like, but it would be nice if you left the slightly larger green frog to watch over his cache.

After you find the cache, you might enjoy completing the trail through the woods.
Baird Forest is a seventy-five acre Lanark County Managed Forest. Watch for deer, pileated woodpeckers, porcupines, and other wildlife. The trail makes a loop that is about 1.2 km. long. In general, it is mainly level with gradual up and down sections and a couple of more rugged parts.
It winds through an old growth area of sugar maples, white pine, beech, yellow birch, and paper birch, and then on through several new plantations of white spruce, red pine and white pine. The trail also crosses a long board walk over a small marsh in one area of the woods. There are some signposts along the trail pointing out tree species.
FORMER HAZARD – Some time ago, ground zero was moved away from its former location near the edge of an escarpment, for safety reasons.
