Geocache Description:

Part of the Wainfleet cicular geocache trail. This cache finds you by the footpath bridge and some lovely views and wild life. You can either carry along the road here towards the next cache, or enjoy a detour. If you cross the bridge and follow the footpath, you will shortly come to the site of the  fomer All Saint's Church, Wainfleet All Saints. It was in existence by c.1170 and was demolished in 1820. It was a cruciform church with a central wooden tower which was rebuilt in brick. There are some notable graves and the field is gradully being changed from pure grass to a range of beautiful wild flower beds, with picnic benches to follow soon.
