Het Eindhovens Kwartet is de oudste actieve serie geocaches in Eindhoven.

Een bos- en heidewandeling van ruim 4 km met vijf waypoint-puzzels.
A walk of more than 4 km through forest and heath, with five waypoint-puzzles. English translation will be added in the future
De Stratumse Heide bestaat tegenwoordig hoofdzakelijk uit bos, met in het zuiden nog stukken heide die worden begraasd door Schotse Hooglanders. Een klein gedeelte van het bos is aangeplant rond 1930. Vanaf 1935 is op de voormalige heide spontaan eik, berk en den gaan groeien waardoor het bos geen eentonige indruk maakt. In het gebied liggen ook drie vennen. Het Kanunnikesven heeft een veenmoseiland in het midden en herbergt diverse soorten amfibieën.
- Alleen toegankelijk tussen zonsopgang en zonsondergang.
- De route gaat over zand- en fietspaden.
- Het is NOOIT nodig de paden te verlaten, behalve bij de cache (max. 5 meter).
- Aangelijnde honden mogen mee.
- Houd in het begrazingsgebied voldoende afstand tot de dieren.
- Op het gegeven beginpunt is een parkeerplaats voor een stuk of tien auto’s.
Bij de parkeerplaats staan diverse borden en palen met informatie. Die heeft u nodig om de volgende cijfers te vinden:
A = (paal: de lengte van de blauwe wandelroute) + 1
B = het aantal bomen in het logo van Brabants Landschap
C = het aantal uitgezette routes volgens het infobord
Loop naar N 51°24.A60' E005°30.C64'.
In de eerste versie van de cacheroute was dichtbij dit punt de cachelocatie. Hoewel de cache verplaatst is, is het punt zelf zo de moeite waard dat het nu als waypoint is opgenomen. Staat hier:
• een bankje (1)
• een prullenbak (2)
• een informatiebord (3)
• niets van het bovenstaande (4)
D = het cijfer achter het juiste antwoord
Loop eerst een stukje naar het oosten en dan naar N 51°24.D04' E005°30.B30'.
Hier staat een groene paal met een geel bordje met een telefoonnummer:
F = de laatste twee cijfers van het telefoonnummer bij elkaar opgeteld
G = het cijfer dat het meest voorkomt in het telefoonnummer
H = (het aantal houten paaltjes om de groene paal heen) - 1
Loop naar N 51°24.BF9' E005°30.FH5'.
U staat nu op het minst rustige (maar wel veilige) punt van de route. Lees van het dichtstbijzijnde hectometerpaaltje het hectometergetal (##,#), negeer het wegnummer:
J = (de drie cijfers van het hectometergetal opgeteld) - 5
K = (het hoogste cijfer in het hectometergetal) - 1
Loop 200 meter over het asfalt naar het noorden. Hier staan bij het hek allerlei bordjes:
L = (het aantal bordjes waarop het logo van Brabants Landschap staat) + 3
Loop van dit onrustige punt naar N 51°24.LG8' E005°31.GK2'.
Hier staat een betonnen paal met een groen bordje:
M = (bovenste getal op het bordje) / 2
Cache
Loop nu naar de cache op coördinaat N 51°24.MFB' E005°30.AGG'.
Graven en prikken is niet nodig. De cache is een tupperware doos. Plaats de cachebedekking na het loggen s.v.p. weer op dezelfde manier terug.
In het logboek van deze cache staat een aanwijzing voor Eindhovens Kwartet Compleet! van LouiSearcher.

En verder natuurlijk een woord van dank aan LouiSearcher, die deze cacheroute bedacht en ruim 5 jaar onderhouden heeft, aan Team Aragorn die de cache van 2008 tot 2010 heeft onderhouden, en aan GeoWolf die de cache onder zijn hoede nam tot zijn overlijden in de zomer van 2017.

In the first version of the cache route, the cache location was close to this point. Although the cache has been moved, the point itself is so worthwhile that it has now been included as a waypoint. You can find here:

First walk a little to the east and then to N 51°24.D04' E005°30.B30'.
Here is a green pole with a yellow sign with a telephone number:
F = the last two digits of the telephone number added together
G = the number that occurs most often in the telephone number
H = (the number of wooden poles around the green pole) - 1
Walk to N 51°24.BF9' E005°30.FH5'.
You are now standing at the least quiet (but safe) point of the route. Read the hectometre number (##,#) of the nearest hectometre marker, ignoring the road number:
J = (the three digits of the hectometre number added together) - 5
K = (the highest digit in the hectometre number) - 1
Walk 200 metres on the asphalt to the north. Here at the gate there are all kinds of signs:
L = (the number of signs with the Brabants Landschap logo) + 3
Walk from this noisy point to N 51°24.LG8' E005°31.GK2'.

Cache
Now walk to the cache at coordinates N 51°24.MFB' E005°30.AGG'.
Digging and poking is not necessary. The cache is a Tupperware box. Please replace the cache cover in the same way after logging.
