For many years as I have explored the Tampa Bay region, I've gotten to know some lesser known spots and this is one of them. It's a HUGE parking area that does many vehicle related things. I wish I could place the geocache further west in the large parking area, but it's private with lots of security. Luckily this spot is on the right-of-way so no security issues.
The name is because I envisioned a baseball stadium here when it was discussed about where a new one could be built. As an architect, I'm always looking at where smart growth and development could happen. This (and one other spot) seem to me the mostly likely places. A mix of good road access, potential rail access, lots of land and minimal disturbance to the natural elements adjacent (and yet a great visual backdrop).
The geocache itself is small, hidden in a atypical spot. Hint has a pretty good spoiler. I'll make a return visit to double check coordinates but they should be pretty accurate. The container is a repurposed item. I'm hoping the hiding spot more than the container keep things dry.
Must sign actual log in the cache to count. If you cannot sign log, it's a DNF, If you aren't sure about container, log a DNF. Can always change to a find later. DO NOT REPLACE CACHE. If you do and log as a find, there is a high potential that log will be removed (and I will remove unauthorized container/replacement). If you want to support, please contact me first. Thank you.
