Themaxfamily: After a few days of thinking about it and after we replaced it yesterday and it looks like it has gone missing again we have decided to remove it from the site. It has been a lot to take in and the kids are really upset. To be honest the whole situation has left us feeling completely worn out.
We learnt how to hide geocaches by watching YouTube and these are our first couple of hides. We put in a lot of work to learn how to do this properly and we were really proud to finally put them out. Seeing one treated like this has been incredibly disappointing.
We are really glad the other two are still there. We checked them and it looks like they are holding up. Hopefully nothing happens to them because after what happened here it has honestly left us feeling pretty defeated. Seeing the stickers peeled off and stuck everywhere and the logbook torn apart was heartbreaking especially for the kids. It is hard to understand why someone would do that to something that was meant to be fun for everyone.
We spent a lot of time and effort putting this series together for our youngest and seeing it treated like this has taken a lot of the joy out of it. We really hope nobody has an issue with us or with the series because this was meant to be something special for our youngest and now it has just made everyone upset.
