Iris Chang Park did not exist when we placed the challenge cache near Coyote Creek in 2013, and there's enough space for a traditional hide here as well. Besides providing easy access to the Coyote Creek Trail, the park itself is a peaceful and thoughtful spot in the midst of a chaotic suburban area. This is a quiet (usually) spot to enjoy a snack or a cup of coffee, or maybe just escape the traffic jams.
There is major construction nearby for a planned "multi-use development" and park next door, and the old Sakayue family farmhouse is on stilts. The current plan is for the farmhouse to be relocated to History Park in San Jose. There may be some truck traffic on access streets during work hours.
Street parking is available along Epic Way beside the park, it may be crowded on weekends. Public transit is available via VTA Route 20's stop at Montague and River Oaks. Route 20 runs from the Sunnyvale Caltrain Station to the Milpitas BART station with major transfer points at Mission College and VTA Orchard station.
