The cache is located within the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge. All rules should be followed when in the park. Cachers will complete most of this challenge using their cars. Apart from that the terrain is mostly level and in good condition.
Grab the binoculars and a good field guide! This virtual cache presents you with the opportunity to view a wide variety of wildlife during any season. The reward, apart from a good hike, is the discovery of one the best kept secrets in the piedmont. On top of that, if you find the cache in the morning or early evening, you might view one of the creatures that calls that area home. The Lat/Long will take you to the park office. Pick up a brochure there or at N35 05.347, W80 03.371. Using the map on the brochure locate and drive to the Silo. (Be sure to enjoy the ride, watch for wildlife) Count the rungs/steps leading to the top of the silo. Divide the follwings numbers by the number of steps to get the Lat/Long for the cache.
