A hidden gem on LSU's campus, "Trinket Stairs" is a public space tucked away near the outdoor auditorium- and that's precisely where this geocache will take you!
If you can, it's a nice place to leave an addition to the area: essentially, it's a location where students decided to start leaving small houses and objects to decorate a set of unused stairs left behind from some building, that has blossomed into a beautiful display constructed by an anonymous community! Nobody knows who leaves behind anything here, but a nice location has developed regardless. Otherwise, this cache is a nice place to trade something, seeing as the stairs themselves are just meant for placing without taking!
During active campus hours, the sidewalk may have members of The Public walking past, so do be careful if you're going during a popular time- not only is the geocache hidden, but the whole display: the average student on campus has no idea this place exists, and it's probably better that way!
Some resin creations have been left in the cache that I'll refill from time to time, along with a resin koi for the FTF!!
