Geocache Description:

North of Crow Peak, waaaaaaay off the trail. Requires a difficult hike with several severe elevation changes.

Unless you get permission to cross private land, this cache must be accessed via the Crow Peak Trail(trail head, N44° 28.024 W103° 56.886) Bring sturdy boots, plenty of water(a rope might come in handy) and allow almost a full day to get to the cache, explore and return before dark. It is about 3 miles to the top, register at the top, then go back and leave the trail at about (N44° 28.024, W103° 57.904) Its a good hike from here, with severe elevation changes. The cache, an ammo can, contains many goodies!- Smokey Bandana, German beer coaster, Liberal Donkey Beanie(Had to do something with it!), coffee mug, yoyo, stickers, Smokey patch, Smokey shoelaces, a dinosaur, a logbook and a camera for taking self portraits. Directly west of the cache you will find Hells Half Acre. You will see the reason for this name. It is a fun area to explore with shear rock faces, caves and beautiful views to the valley west. A local rancher said his father used to go there on the 4th of July to get ice from the caves to make ice cream. Please sign the cache log, but not the rocks and trees as some previous visitors have done. We did not notice any trash, if you find any please take it out with you.

This cache was originally placed by 'Hod and Rolly, Maria Cache, and Cache and Cerry', but those folks have moved out of the area, so it's been adopted by me, path Les traveled.
