Geocache Description:

WELCOME TO OUR ALPHABETIC ANGUS SERIES

This has been inspired by the A/Z series by Perth Pathfinders which took us to many nice places in Perthshire.

Alphabetic Angus will take you to lots of similarly nice places in our home county, and can be done in any order.

Angus is a lovely county stretching from the east coast to the high mountains in the Angus Glens. It was known as Forfarshire, with Forfar as the county town, until  1928 when Angus was adopted as the new county name.

EASSIE

A village between Meigle and Glamis on the A94, known for the Pictish Eassie Stone which can be seen in the remnants of Eassie Old Church.
