CACCBAG is enjoying our first visit to Ireland. We have visited England and Scotland before (mostly for work - some holiday mixed in) but this family holiday trip brought us to Wales and Ireland for the first time. Of course, while here, we had to do some geocaching and explore.
Tullamore was the home origins of my mother's maternal lineage (family name Scully) so I definitely wanted to visit. We eplored the village and enjoyed lunch. Really enjoyed visitng the lage beautiful church there as well. I decided it would be great to hide a geocache in the home of my great grandmoher's origin. Local cacher icklelego has agreed to help maintain this cache in between our return visits (that won't be multipe times a year - but we will definitely be returning).
The nearby shop workers know of the cache (I eplained the game to them....they had heard of the similar comic/cartoon game and two decided they were going to create accounts and become geocachers).
The cache is small. It has a couple log sheets but no writing instrument. While it is magnetic, I would not suggest placing anything heavy in it (so be very careful with trackables) as the magnet is strong enough to hold the cache but too much weight may cause it to end up in the river below.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF MUGGLES AND PLEASE DON'T KNOCK IT DOWN INTO THE WATER AND PLEASE RE-HIDE IT WILL AND CAREFULLY.
