WELCOME TO OUR ALPHABETIC ANGUS SERIES
This has been inspired by the A/Z series by Perth Pathfinders which took us to many nice places in Perthshire.
Alphabetic Angus will take you to lots of similarly nice places in our home county, and can be done in any order.
Angus is a lovely county stretching from the east coast to the high mountains in the Angus Glens. It was known as Forfarshire, with Forfar as the county town, until 1928 when Angus was adopted as the new county name.
YOUNG MONTROSE
The YMCA building in Montrose is a bit distinctive as it has "YOUNG MONTROSE" in large letters on its front, rather than YMCA. The town is a typical east coast place, but it has a lovely beach area, with nice clean sand, great sea-views and some places for snacks. Head down Traill Drive to the parking area.
