Laanapään lenkki – Sumumetsän aaveet
”Kerrotaan, että Laanapään metsät verhoutuvat syksyn tullen valkoiseen huntuun, ja silloin polkujen varjoissa liikkuu olentoja, joita vain harva on ehtinyt nähdä kunnolla. Usva etsii alati lepopaikkojaan, se kietoutuu mataliin oksiin ja takertuu varjopaikkoihin kuin tahtoisi salata jotakin.”
Vanhoissa tarinoissa puhutaan aaveista, jotka viihtyvät siellä, missä näkyvä ja näkymätön sulautuvat yhteen. Jos pysähdyt hetkeksi kuuntelemaan ja katsomaan, saatat huomata, kuinka jokin hahmo katoaa maiseman suojaan – tai ehkä vain usva leikittelee katseellasi.
Ja kenties juuri siellä, missä valkoinen huntu kietoutuu tiukimmin oksien ympärille, lepää se, mitä etsit.
Autoiltavissa oleva Laanapääntie sijaitsee Inarin kunnassa. Tämä historiallinen vanha metsäpolku on toiminut kulkureittinä erämaassa sijaitsevien alueiden välillä. Nykyisellä metsäautotiellä on mittaa noin 14 kilometriä. Talvisin tiellä ei ole talvikunnossapitoa. Suurin osa kätköistä on kuitenkin talvilöydettäviä ja niitä voi tavoitella esimerkiksi moottorikelkalla tai suksilla.
Muistathan myös palauttaa kätköt juuri niin kuin ne olivat.
Muita huomioita:
- Mukaan purkeille tarvitset oman kynän!
- Reissaajia varten sarjaan tulee erillinen TB-hotelli.
- Varaudu GPS:n heittelyyn ja laajenna tarvittaessa hieman etsintäaluetta.
- Metsästysaikaan alueella kulkee metsästäjiä, joten varovaisuus on paikallaan.

Laanapää Tour – The Ghosts of the Misty Forest
“It is said that the forests of Laanapää are veiled in a white shroud when autumn arrives, and in the shadows of the paths move beings that only few have ever truly seen. The mist is always searching for its resting places, curling around low branches and clinging to hidden corners as if wishing to conceal something.”
Old tales speak of spirits dwelling where the visible and the invisible merge into one. If you pause for a moment to listen and to look, you might glimpse a figure fading into the landscape – or perhaps it is only the mist playing tricks on your eyes.
And perhaps it is right there, where the white shroud wraps most tightly around the branches, that what you seek lies in wait.
The drivable Laanapääntie is located in the municipality of Inari. This historic old forest trail has served as a route between remote wilderness areas. The current forest road is about 14 kilometers long. In winter, the road is not maintained. However, most of the caches are winter-accessible and can be reached, for example, by snowmobile or skis.
Please also remember to return the caches exactly as they were.
Additional notes:
- Bring your own pen for signing the logs!
- For travelers, there is a dedicated TB hotel in the series.
- Be prepared for GPS drift and expand your search area if needed.
- During hunting season, hunters may be present in the area, so caution is advised.
