Obey all traffic laws and use crosswalks.
To begin this journey you will need to complete eight stages within <.5 mile walking. In this series of caches, you will be directed to six different buildings before the final location. On each building is a picture of a local bird that was painted by a local artist. Each painting is life size to each bird. To begin your journey, you will need to start at the kiosk near Meadow Park. There is a brochure in a holder showing 41 birds of our local area. You will be looking for six of the birds for this cache. Once you are done finding the six birds on this list, you are encouraged to look for the rest.
The physical item you are looking for at this first cache is the Audubon Bird Town Twain Harte brochure. If there are not physical copies available, you can use the QR code that is posted on the kiosk. You will be directed to the Central Sierra Audubon Society webpage where you can find a copy of the brochure [go to home → bird town dedication→ brochure] or you can click on the hotlink below to print the brochure at home/school. Feel free to explore the abundant free resources on this website.
