Flagg Dam is located off from Redington Road in Dallas Plantation. The dam was formally used to hold back water on Redington Stream to float logs to the South Branch of the Dead River, and eventually to the Kennebec River. The area is on a sand and gravel aquifer that is used to supply water for the Rangeley Water District. In addition Poland Spring has a load out facility for their spring site closer to the Navy's facility. Tankers frequent the roadway so use caution driving to the cache location.
The road to Flagg Dam is along a snowmobile and ATV trail. You will be looking for a 30 caliber ammo can hidden in typical fashion. Placing the cache on the 45th parallel wasn't intentional but very cool anyways.
