Geocache Description:

Welcome to the back roads of Texas. Team Texas Ra Ra loves caching on country roads and so we decided to create a summer series for others to enjoy. This series has 26 total hides, one for each letter of the alphabet. You do not have to do them in order but this is the order we hid them in.

In October of 2021, word nerd Josh Wardle created a word game for his partner and cleverly named it Wordle. He later sold it to the New York Times for a rumoured 1 million dollars. I started playing in January of 2022 and have played it almost every day since. I have to keep that grey matter healthy. The premise of the game is simple. You have six chances to guess a five letter word. People have many different strategies to play. Some play the same first words every day, while others try random words to claim a W. I play the same first three words every day. Those words cover all vowels, including “y”, and the nine most-commonly used consonants in the English language. I wish I could say that I’ve had a perfect streak all of these years, but alas I cannot. On most days I complete the puzzle at midnight, when it drops for the day. I greatly upset some of the social media geocaching community when one early morning I posted that everyone should do Wordle that day. The answer that day was of course “cache” and some of the community members felt as though I had spoiled the puzzle for that day.  On another day I texted the other members of Texas Ra Ra because the answer that day was the human name of one of my teammates. Once you’ve solved the puzzle, input the answer into the Certitude checker. Many thanks to SheRa_ of SheRa_and_TxCherokee and Seabee-MC/HNY for inspiring the execution and idea of this hide.
