Once again, this puzzle was inspired by Eric Berlin's weekly Puzzlesnacks. I wanted to try making something comparable, and this was an interesting challenge to produce. Enjoy!

Each set of three words below is a clue phrase for the answer that goes in that space. However, one of these words is too hot: the boiling caused all of the letters to get jumbled up, forming a new word. Another word is too cold: two extra letters have been added (not necessarily consecutively) so they can better huddle up for warmth. And lastly, one of the words is unchanged — it’s just right. Determining which word is which in each clue phrase is up to you. For the Certitude solution, enter the letters from the highlighted squares row by row, from left to right and top to bottom.
Example: Let's say the clue was "FAST FOOTED MITE". In this case, the word FAST is just right, so we'll leave it alone. The word FOOTED is too cold, so it has two extra letters added. We'll remove the TE to get FOOD. And the word MITE is too hot, so we'll unscamble that one to get ITEM. The answer to the clue FAST FOOD ITEM might be HAMBURGER, for example.
