🎰 Casino aan de Kust

Een puzzelwandeling aan zee — tel, zoek en reken je naar de coördinaten.

Verhaal

Aan de kust in Knokke staat een iconisch casino. Het opende ooit feestelijk zijn deuren. Jaren later trad hier op een zaterdagavond (zijn 2e avond) een wereldberoemde zanger op met een lied over de wereld aan een touwtje. Aan jou om te achterhalen wanneer en wie dit allemaal was, om de minuten van het eindcoördinaat te berekenen.

Wat je ter plekke telt (strandzijde)

• F = aantal vlaggenmasten op het casino
• P = aantal balustrade-vlakken (gezien als je midden voor het casino staat aan de strandzijde)
• K = aantal kruisen per vlak in de balustrade
• L = aantal lampen per vlak (zijde van een van de vier kolommen) bij de entree (strandzijde)

Wat je zelf uitzoekt

• Opening casino: dag D₀, maand M₀, jaar (som van cijfers van het jaartal = S₀).
• Optreden zanger (hint: lied over de wereld aan een touwtje): dag D₁, maand M₁, jaar (som van cijfers van het jaartal = S₁).
• W = aantal woorden in de titel van dat lied (apostrof/koppelteken is geen extra woord).
• Z = aantal letters van het woord STRANDZIJDE (zonder spatie, IJ zijn twee letters).
• DM = aantal dagen in de openingsmaand.

🎰 Casino on the Coast

A puzzle walk by the sea — count, search and calculate your way to the coordinates.

Story

There is an iconic casino in Knokke on the coast. It once opened its doors with great fanfare. Years later, a world-famous singer performed on a saterday evening (his 2nd performance) here with a song about the world on a string. It's up to you to find out when and who this was, to calculate the minutes of the final coordinates.

What you count on site (beach side)

• F = number of flagpoles on the casino
• P = number of balustrade sections (as seen when standing in front of the casino on the beach side)
• K = number of crosses per section in the balustrade
• L = number of lamps per section (side of one of the four columns) at the entrance (beach side)

What you find out yourself

• Casino opening: day D₀, month M₀, year (sum of the digits of the year = S₀).
• Singer's performance (hint: song about the world on a string): day D₁, month M₁, year (sum of the digits of the year = S₁).
• W = number of words in the title of that song (apostrophe/hyphen is not an extra word).
• Z = number of letters in the word Strandzijde (without spaces).
• DM = number of days in the opening month.
