Geocache--Canada's 1st geocache
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This Canada's first Geocache and is located about 30 minutes from Halifax on a major highway. It is not difficult, but is meant to attract people using one of our main routes in NS( Hwy # 103). It is only a few minutes walk from the highway and is in a LARGE ammo can. Take some fly dope !!! This cache was originaly named GC41 but was relisted as GCBBA when caches were taken out of the (GC.com) site admin account and given to individuals. On 24th June/06 a geostone giving the details and co-ordinates of GCBBA was unveiled at an Event at Graves Island Provincial Park. The geostone is near the Administration Building in Graves Island Park, which is about 7 Km west of GCBBA on Highway #3. A short drive, with easy access to the Park. Access to the Park is available year round. When the gate is closed just walk up the paved road. This geostone was built and designed by Wallace_River. The sale of "Canada's First Geocache" geocoin paid for the Event. C A U T I O N - For some time now I have been suspicious that someone has been removing geocoins, and Trackables from this site. I recommend that anyone wanting to have a coin/Trackable visit this cache to just "drop" it, and remove right away. If you come from outside Nova Scotia I would love to know where you come from. Many thanks to those who take the time to post their pics. Keep them coming. It was recently confirmed by Geocaching HQ that GCBBA was Canada's first Traditional Cache to reach 500 Favourites.
