Fishermen come here for the catch of the day. Boaters come here for open water and adventure. But if you ask the locals, they’ll tell you there’s something else that hangs in the air near this landing.
No on can quite agree on what it is. Some say it’s leftover bait. Others swear it’s a critter that’s made this area its home. A few think it’s just the “perfume” of nature reminding us we’re not the only ones who use this spot.
Whatever the source, the mystery is waiting for you. Follow your nose, or better yet, your GPS, to track it down. Just be careful, you might want to keep your distance once you discover what that smell really is.
Please bring your own pen and re-hide it just as you found it, tucked back in its spot so it doesn't wander away.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Print out the paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information and then it should be submitted to the appropriate DNR land manager.
