Come and celebrate 18 years of the Church Micro Series, the largest Geocaching series in the world, at Whipsnade Tree Cathedral on 7th November 2025 between 10:30am - 11:00am.

Whipsnade Tree Cathedral was planted after the First World War, in the spirit of 'faith, hope and reconciliation', by Edmund Blyth. He wanted to create a lasting legacy for his comrades-in-arms who were no longer with him. With the help of just one man, Albert Bransom, 22 different types of trees and 14 types of flowering shrubs were planted between 1930 and 1939 to form the shape of a cathedral. In 1952 the first ecumenical services were held and continue to this day. Unfortunately due to Ash Dieback, the ash trees were removed and were replanted with Wild Service trees during the autumn of 2024, as were the elm trees before them.
There is a small free National Trust car park close by. Please park considerately to allow as many cars as possible to park in this area. There is also another parking area waypointed a short walk away.
Dog are allowed, but they are required to be on a short lead at all times. There is a dog waste bin in the car park.
The site is step free over grass, which might be more challenging after periods of heavy rain for wheel chair users.
