Třída Nicholase Wintona

Keš je městská mikro (skoro nano) tradička. Přes den je to velice rušné místo, proto přidávám velmi konkrétní nápovědu. Buďte prosím nenápadní a odlov maskujte manipulací s batohem na zemi nebo aspoň zavazováním bot. Nelogujte prosím přímo nad mříží, ať vám tam něco nespadne.

Provizorní ulice Nicholase Wintona v pražských Holešovicích byla slavnostně otevřena 3. září 2024 jako první pěší a cyklistické propojení Letné s dolními Holešovicemi. Symbolika místa je silná – trasa vede kolem nádraží Praha-Bubny, odkud za okupace odjížděly transporty, a míjí památník Brána nenávratna. Zatím jde o provizorní propojení, ale v budoucnu má vzniknout plnohodnotná městská ulice s novou zástavbou. Proto byla už dnes ulice označena za třídu. Cestou ke keši se můžete podívat na nové nádraží Praha-Bubny, které je podle mě architektonicky celkem povedené. Můžete kouknout na postup výstavby čtvrti Bubny–Zátory a zjistit, jestli už třeba nestojí Vltavská filharmonie.

Sir Nicholas Winton je dodnes symbolem odvahy a hlubokého lidství. Zachránil 669 československých dětí z převážně židovských rodin ohrožených nastupujícím nacismem. Dětem zachránil životy tím, že jim až do vypuknutí války neúnavně a dobrovolně zařizoval vlakové transporty do Velké Británie a náhradní rodiny.

The cache is a micro (almost nano) urban traditional cache. During the day it is a very busy place, so I add very specific hint. Please keep stealthy and disguise your retrieval by fiddling with your backpack on the ground or tying your shoes. Please don't log directly above the grate, so nothing falls in.

The provisional Nicholas Winton Street in Prague’s Holešovice district was officially opened on 3 September 2024 as the first pedestrian and cycle link between Letná and lower Holešovice. The symbolism of the location is powerful – the route runs past Praha-Bubny station, from where deportation transports departed during the occupation, and passes the Brána nenávratna (Gate of No Return) memorial. For now, it is a temporary link, but in the future a fully-fledged urban street with new developments is to be built. That is why the street has already been designated as an Avenue today. On your way to the cache, you can take a look at the new Praha-Bubny railway station, which I think is quite a remarkable piece of architecture. You can also check on the progress of the Bubny–Zátory district’s development and see if, maybe, the Vltava Philharmonic Hall has been built yet.

Sir Nicholas Winton remains to this day a symbol of courage and profound humanity. He saved 669 Czechoslovak children from mostly Jewish families threatened by the rise of Nazism. He saved the children’s lives by tirelessly and voluntarily arranging train transports to the United Kingdom and finding foster families for them right up until the outbreak of the war.
