Geocache Description:

This cache is a Redux of our original White River Junction Vermont Post Office cache, which has been Archived for a while.  It is another in an interesting series that was originally developed by Maryland Geocacher "mdsurveyor".

This one has a new twist.  It requires you to use TWO Grids, instead of one.

The posted coordinates are for the Post Office Parking Lot. The physical cache is NOT in, next to, or near the building or on the Post Office property. The cache will however be within a short drive of the Post Office property.

The Post Office is in White River Junction Vermont - Zip Code 05001.  The address is:

195 Sykes Mountain Ave, White River Junction, VT 05001

The P.O. Boxes Lobby is open from 6:30AM until 11:00PM 7-Days a Week.

This is an easy puzzle to solve, once you learn how to apply the sets of numbers below for the cache. They are referred to as Grids, Rows, and Columns.

Grid:
When you enter the Post Office you will find a room on the right, containing 3 walls of 5 sets or Grids of Post Office boxes.

A Grid refers to ALL of the boxes in one of the 5 wall sets. A Grid of boxes is made up of 6 distinct sections, each with 6 columns and either 8 9, or 10 rows.

A Grid number is determined by the number of the Post Office Box in the upper right-hand corner of a Grid.  You will need to find the Post Office box numbers that match the two Grid numbers below. For each number you see, you will then be standing in front of the Grid you need to use for that Grid number.

A Grid has rows of boxes that run from left to right and columns that run from top to bottom. There will be some situations where there are more columns on the top of a Grid and fewer along the bottom of the Grid.

Column Number:
Counting from left to right of a Grid, the leftmost box is Column 1 and the next box to the right is Column 2 and continuing to the right of the Grid.

Row Number:
Starting at the top of the Grid and counting from top to bottom, the top Row is 1, the next Row down is 2 and continuing to the bottom of the Grid.

You will need to substitute the P.O. Box numbers from the Grids specified below into the partial coordinates below to obtain the correct Final coordinates.

Grid Number 4391

To determine the North coordinates for this cache, locate Grid 4391 and substitute the numbers of the P.O. boxes in that Grid into the formula below:

N 43° 38. [C38:R6]  -   [C13:R2]   +  [C47:R4]  -   [C9:R2]

Grid Number 1231

To determine the West coordinates for this cache, locate Grid 1231 and substitute the numbers of the P.O. boxes in that Grid into the formula below

W 72° 19. [C25:R2]  +  [C3:R3]  -   [C22:R4]

A Checksum for the 6 digits is being provided for your convenience: *****. 28 *****

Please do not remove the cache container and please remember to bring your own writing tool to sign the log.  Thank you

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
