This cache is hidden very well, so you may have to do a little searching. Hidden in an ammo box. We changed it several months ago to the ammo box and I thought for sure we had edited this. Please forgive......
Contents of cache when hidden: Lady bug pin, cat stamp, butterfly stamp, key float, line level, pill case, mint flavored floss, package of dice, tube of lip smackers, fish stamp, and the log in book and two pins.
Atalaya was built over a 3 year period, from 1931 to 1933, apparently without detailed written plans. The outer walls of the building form a square, 200 feet on each side with the front facing the ocean. Within the walled structure there is a large, open inner court with a small entry court at the rear. The living quarters consist of 30 rooms around 3 sides of the perimeter. The large, one-story building is dominated by a square tower that rises nearly 40 feet from a covered walkway that bisects the inner court. The southern wing housed Mrs. Huntington's studio where she enjoyed sculpturing such things as live animals, therefore, facilities such as horse stables, a dog kennel and a bear pen were included in the construction. The Huntingtons returned to Atalaya after the war for their usual stay in 1946 and 1947. These were the last years they used their home. Please take the cement walkway from the parking area and go from there.
