Come to Hixson - To GeoCache!

Park in the nice parking lot at this little unimproved park (maintained  by the City of Lakesite and TVA). Be prepared for a short 0.1 mile stroll down the mostly gravel, slightly overgrown path.  You will need to pass the metal gate (we went under) and several fallen trees and the path should get  you within 15 or so feet of the cache.   There you finally leave the trail and begin your search.

You are looking for a 1.5 liter plastic container clearly labelled as a geocache.

If the weather is nice and you have time, continue down the trail a little further (maybe 1000 feet or so), and it will take you to a nice little point to view part of the lake on a side channel.
