Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit for the 2026 All Things Wisconsin West Bend Cache Ba$h.

Note: The trail is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. The forest is open to public hunting during established seasons. Consult the DNR website for more information.

In the woods where autumn whispers low,
Golden leaves drift soft and slow,
Crunching paths beneath my feet,
Crisp air cool and faintly sweet.

Acorns scatter, small and round,
Hidden treasures on the ground,
Tucked beneath an oak tree’s shade,
Nature’s quiet games are played.

With map in hand, I wander through,
Following clues the forest knew,
A geocache waits, concealed from sight,
A tiny secret tucked in tight.

Branches rustle overhead,
Scarlet, amber, overhead spread,
Each step deeper, calm and free,
The woods a puzzle meant for me.

Leaves fall gently, day grows dim,
Sunlight fading, soft and slim,
Cache discovered, small delight—
Autumn’s treasure, warm and bright.

Thanks to jspleva for the geocache container!
