This is the 107th in the series of caches set out to celebrate that wonderful Great British establishment, the pub.
From here, you have an excellent view of one of Irby's pubs (and if you turn your head to the left you should also be able to see another, or at least its car park). The pub in front of you is built from the attractive red sandstone that is so prevalent on the Wirral. Wikipedia tells me that it is one of the oldest buildings in Irby, and, according to an entry in the BBC Domesday Project, was built as a cottage in the 17th century.
