A localização, ligeiramente afastada do bulício das zonas mais urbanizadas, convida à tranquilidade e à contemplação do ambiente natural circundante.
Os lavadouros não são apenas tanques de pedra; representam um importante legado da vida comunitária de outrora. Um dos elementos mais distintivos é a aplicação de um painel de azulejos artesanais, que com as suas representações, narram as realidades e os costumes da vida no campo de outros tempos, acrescentando um toque artístico e evocativo ao conjunto.

The restoration of these old wash houses was undertaken with the aim of preserving and enhancing the rural built heritage. The restoration project sought to maintain the original identity of the space, using materials that respect local aesthetics and tradition. One of the most distinctive elements is the application of a panel of handmade tiles, which, with their representations, narrate the realities and customs of country life in times gone by, adding an artistic and evocative touch to the ensemble.
