This is one of a group of caches on a circular walk from the village of Occold along quiet lanes, public footpaths and bridleways. The total route is around 3 miles from the centre of the village where there is plenty of parking at the village hall car park (behind the pub).. This route is a regular amble for us with our geohound Amber and each cache has a hedgerow harvest theme - reflecting the time of year the caches were placed. A short section of the walk can get muddy in winter or after a period of rain so please come prepared..
You may want to start this circular walk after completing some of the puzzle amd multi-caches placed locally.
A short diversion from the bridleway here to enjoy one of Occold's more recent bridge installations. Here you may be able to forage elder flowers in early summer for cordial or the berries in the autumn for something stronger!

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then, the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here: - Little Bridges Geocaching Series (littlebridgesseries.co.uk). If you would like to add to the series, please go to this site, on the tab Get Involved click number request and fill in the form. To qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
