Am schönen Mexikoplatz ist sehr viel Betrieb, daher etwas abseits. Hier wird in den nächsten Jahren der U-Bahnanschluss zwischen Krumme Lanke und Mexikoplatz entstehen, möglicherweise wird sich dann zur gegebener Zeit dieser Standort anpassen müssen.
🏘️ Mexikoplatz – Zwischen den Zeiten ⛲
Im Schatten alter Linden steht
ein Platz, der leise weitergeht.
Geschichte flüstert durch das Grün,
wo Villen träumen, still und kühn.
Die Fassaden stehen still
umrankt von Licht und alten Zweigen.
Ein Flüstern zieht durch jedes Bild,
als würd‘ die Zeit sich sanft verneigen.
Ein Zug, noch fern, doch bald ganz nah –
die U-Bahn kommt, wie Wunderbar.
Sie schließt den Kreis, verbindet neu
was einst getrennt, nun stark und frei.
Die Gleise singen leise Lieder
von Heimkehr, Aufbruch, Kommen wieder.
Und zwischen S-Bahn, Stein und Licht
entsteht ein neues Gleichgewicht.
Die U-Bahn wächst in tiefem Grund,
verbindet bald mit leisem Schwung
die Gleise, die sich nie berührten –
in Wege, die sich schließen, rund.
Mexikoplatz, du Bild aus Licht,
du atmest Zeit – und schläfst doch nicht.

There’s a lot of activity at the beautiful Mexikoplatz, so this spot is slightly off to the side. In the coming years, a new subway connection between Krumme Lanke and Mexikoplatz will be built here, and it’s possible that this location may need to adapt accordingly when the time comes.

Beneath old lindens, shadows fall,
a square that gently moves through all.
Its history whispers through the green,
where villas dream—still and serene.
The facades stand in quiet grace,
entwined with light and branches old.
A hush drifts through each silent face,
as time bows down, serene and bold.
A train, still distant, drawing near—
the U-Bahn comes, like wonder here.
It closes circles, builds anew
what once was split, now strong and true.
The tracks hum soft, familiar songs
of homeward paths and moving on.
And between stone, light, and rail
a new-found balance will prevail.
The U-Bahn rises from the deep,
soon gliding forth with gentle sweep
to link the lines that never met—
in paths that round and whole are set.
Mexicoplace, you light-born frame,
you breathe through time—yet sleep no claim.
