🀄️Mah Jongg - My Favorite Thing!🀄️
Mah Jongg, a tradiational tile game from China, was introduced to the United States in the 1930's. The North American game is a bit different from the Chinese version. Each April, the National Mah Jongg League releases a card with the legal hands and point values for the coming year. I might run to my mailbox each day in late April in anticipation of the new card - it is the most wonderful time of the year.
I love the game for many different reasons! Mah Jongg contains equal parts luck and strategy... someone was quoted saying with Mah Jongg you create order from chaos. That is so true! The best part are the close friends I have made playing the game. One of those mbell410 (aka SIX BAM) helped me with the placement of this cache. Thank you, Melissa.
A bit about the game....
A deck of cards has four suits but Mah Jongg only has three: Dots, Bams, and Craks.
Each suit has a mataching Dragon:
White Dragon (also called Soap) goes with the Dots
Red Dragon goes with the Craks
Green Dragon goes with the Bams.
A Mah Jongg set also contains winds and jokers.
The object of the game is to create a legal hand with 14 tiles.
A bit about the cache:
The container at the posted coordinates holds one each of the 152 tiles in a Mah Jongg set... plus a few extras. Use the tiles in the container to determine the coordinates to the final stage, a short walk from stage one. Don't forget to write down the keyword found on the inside cover of the log booklet; you'll need it to discover the series' bonus cache.
First to find prize is the most powerful Mah Jongg tile in the set. Enjoy!
